Hello!
Well I’m super excited to say that The E-String Band will be performing the early show at Biscuit BBQ this Friday, May 18th. For anyone who doesn’t know about E-String it is one of the most fun musical endeavours that I’ve put together. It features Jacob Sacks on melodica and harmophone, Khabu Doug Young on ukulele, Vinnie Sperrazza on percussion and normally we usually have Thomas Morgan on guitar or Mike McGinnis on bass clarinet. This Friday we will have the wonderful Bob Bowen sitting in the guitar chair. Oh and yours truly on toy piano and vocals. The really great thing about this band is that everyone is performing on a secondary instrument. Although Vinnie normally plays drum set and I of course sing we are definitely doing things differently. One more thing, a young tap dancer might be showing up to do some heavy improvising rhythm tap (he is so bad ass!) This young gentleman’s name is Orlando Hernandez and he is the tender age of 16yrs but has some serious dancing feet!
For anyone in the New York City area, come on down to Brooklyn where the weather is good and the people are great (like us!)
Hope to see you!
